cookie policy
what are cookies?
cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website or use a web application. they allow the site to recognise your browser, remember preferences and keep you signed in.
fun fact: they're called cookies because of the old Unix term "magic cookies" — small packets of data. not because anyone was hungry while coding. probably.
cookies we use
essential cookies (∧)
these are required for the platform to work. without them, you wouldn't be able to log in or move safely between pages.
- • session management (keeping you signed in)
- • authentication and security tokens
- • load-balancing and routing to keep the platform responsive
analytics cookies (→)
these help us understand how people use the platform so we can improve it. for example, we might track which features are used most and where users run into friction.
- • page views and navigation patterns
- • feature and button usage
- • performance metrics and error rates
you can opt out of these. the platform will still work perfectly; we just have a little less information to improve it.
advertising cookies (¬)
we do not use third-party advertising cookies. no cross-site ad tracking, no buying or selling of attention.
cookie durations and control
some cookies are session cookies and are deleted when you close your browser. others are persistent cookies and remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them.
within the platform, you may see options to opt out of analytics cookies. in addition, you can control cookies at browser level:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies
- Firefox: Preferences → Privacy & Security → Cookies
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Cookies
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
blocking essential cookies will break the platform. blocking analytics cookies will not.
third-party cookies
we use a small number of third-party services that may set their own cookies, for example:
- mapping and routing providers (for location features)
- payment processors (for secure checkout and billing)
- analytics tools (for aggregated, anonymised usage statistics)
where possible, we configure these services to minimise tracking and retain data only for as long as needed to operate and improve the platform.
updates to this policy
if we change how we use cookies, we will update this page and, where appropriate, notify active users within the platform. updated versions will take effect from the date shown at the top of this page.
questions?
email privacy@ittd.works if you have any questions about cookies or tracking on our sites or within the .logic platform.
we could have made this page dull and corporate. we chose not to. you're welcome. your legal team can still add the footnotes.
